To manually select a different wireless network on the BlackBerry smartphone, complete the following: BlackBerry 10 OS From the home screen, swipe down from the top of the screen. APN - Mobile Network

  1. From any Home screen, swipe down from the top of the screen.
  2. Tap Settings > Networks and Connections > Mobile Network > APN.
  3. Enter the following information:
    • Access Point Name: fast.t-mobile.com
    • Username: {blank}
    • Password: {blank}
    • Authentication Type: NONE
  4. Tap Save.

APN - Reset

  1. From any Home screen, swipe down from the top of the screen.
  2. Tap Settings > Networks and Connections > Mobile Network > APN > Reset Defaults > Restore.

APN - Text messaging

  1. From the Home screen, swipe right to the BlackBerry Hub.
  2. Press the Menu key and tap Settings > Text Messages > Advanced.
  3. Enter the following information:
    • Access Point Name: fast.t-mobile.com
    • Username: {blank}
    • Password: {blank}
    • MMSC URL: http://mms.msg.eng.t-mobile.com/mms/wapenc
    • Proxy URL:{blank}
    • Proxy Username: {blank}
    • Proxy Password: {blank}
  4. Tap Save.

Manual network selection

The device detects and registers on wireless networks inside T-Mobile’s calling area, but roaming networks are usually restricted to T-Mobile SIM cards. You can manually select a network only in areas where T-Mobile does not own GSM spectrum.

  1. From any Home screen, swipe down from the top of the screen.
  2. Tap Settings > Networks and Connections > Mobile Network.
  3. Change the Network Selection Mode to Manual.
  4. Tap Scan if a scan does not automatically begin.
  5. When the scan is finished, tap the desired network.

Switch 2G / 4G

  1. From any Home screen, swipe down from the top of the screen.
  2. Tap Settings > Networks and Connections > Mobile Network.
  3. Set Network mode to one of the following options:
    • 4G LTE & 4G / 3G & 2G
    • 4G LTE & 4G / 3G
    • 4G & 3G & 2G
    • 4G & 3G
    • 2G

Turn on / off airplane mode

Airplane mode turns off wireless connections. This allows app and menu use, but prevents voice or Internet use.

  1. From any Home screen, swipe down from the top of the screen.
  2. Tap Settings.
  3. Tap the Airplane Mode switch to on or off.

Turn on / off data roaming

  1. From any Home screen, swipe down from the top of the screen.
  2. Tap Settings > Networks and Connections > Mobile Network.
  3. Set Data services while roaming to one of the following options:
    • On
    • Off
    • Prompt

Turn on / off mobile data

  1. From any Home screen, swipe down from the top of the screen.
  2. Tap Settings > Networks and Connections > Mobile Network.
  3. Tap the Mobile Network switch to turn the mobile network on or off.
  4. Tap the Data Services switch to turn data services on or off.
